OVERVIEW
We were appointed to deliver the full fit out of a new reformer Pilates Studio, creating a calm, contemporary space designed to enhance both performance and wellbeing. The brief was to produce a high- end studio environment that felt warm, inviting and functional, while meeting the technical requirements of specialist Pilates equipment and day to day studio use.
The completed space combines soft, earthy finishes with clean architectural detailing to create a premium yet tranquil setting for clients and instructors alike.
APPROACH
From the outset, we worked closely with the client and design team to ensure the vision for the studio was translated seamlessly into the finished build. Our approach focused on precision, quality and attention to detail, particularly around finishes and lighting, which play a key role in the overall atmosphere of this space.
We coordinated all trades to deliver bespoke wall and ceiling finishes, integrated lighting solutions, mirrored feature walls and carefully planned layouts for the reformer machines. Every element was installed with consideration for durability, usability and visual impact.
CHALLENGES
A key challenge was achieving a flawless finish across the studio while working within a confined, highly detailed environment. The specialist wall and ceiling finishes required careful preparation and consistency to maintain uniform appearance throughout.
In addition, the studio layout needed to accommodate multiple reformer beds while preserving clear circulation space and maintaining a sense of openness. Integrating mirrored walls, concealed services and feature lighting without disrupting the calm aesthetic required meticulous planning and execution.
OUTCOME
The finished studio is a refined, contemporary Pilates space that balances functionality with luxury. Warm textured walls, soft ambient lighting and mirrored surfaces enhance sense of space, while the natural flooring and bespoke joinery create grounded, welcoming feel.
